Authorities have found the bodies of a man and his 12-year-old grandson who had been hiking in central Arizona. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s office says the two had been hiking in a mountainous desert of Gila Bend, about 50 miles southwest of Phoenix.
The department says the bodies of 63-year-old Thomas Gillespie and Robert Miller were found Wednesday night. A search began after a woman called to report her father and son hadn’t been heard from since Tuesday morning. The department says a hotel manager where the two were staying said he saw them leave and believed they were going hiking. We don’t currently have any other details about how the Gillespie and Miller.
