Another suspect in an attempted burglary faces a judge in court Thursday.
Yuma police investigators say Isaac Rico was one of three people who tried to break into the house of an off-duty police officer.
Prosecutor said, “They were able to open the back sliding door this defendant fled while the other two remained on scene.”
When law enforcement found Rico, he tried to run off once again.
Alleged burglary suspect Issac Rico, “If they had a gun pointed in their face they would run too, that’s all I want to say. When officers finally got Rico in handcuffs, they say he had drugs on him.
That leaves him with potential charges in two separate cases.
In the first case, count one attempted burglary in the 2nd degree, count two possession of burglary tools, and count three criminal trespassing 1st degree of a residential structure. In the second case, count one, possession or use of a dangerous drug felony, count two possession and or use of drug paraphernalia, count three criminal nuisance endangers misdemeanor and count four possession and or use of marijuana. He was currently on release for other felony offenses when they arrested him.
Prosecutor said, “For all those reasons we believe he is a danger to the community and we believe he’s a risk for flight”.
