Arizona DPS releases names of suspects in freeway shootings

PHOENIX (AP) – The names of three suspects arrested after two cars were fired upon on a west Phoenix freeway have been released.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the incidents aren’t linked to a string of Interstate 10 shootings between Aug. 22 and Sept. 10.

They say 20-year-old Airen Everrette Randolph and 20-year-old Semaj Devon McFarlin is being held on suspicion of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and endangerment.

DPS says 22-year-old Dezhon Joseph Randolph allegedly was the driver of the suspect vehicle. He’s accused of facilitation of suspicion of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, endangerment and marijuana possession. State troopers received reports of a shooting on I-10 early Sunday.

A passenger in a black sedan allegedly fired at least one shot from a handgun out the window, followed by a second shooting.
