QUECHAN NATION – If the prep baseball season were to end Monday, it would be difficult to determine what the San Pasqual Warrior’s fate would be. They are currently ranked 24th amongst Division 4 teams; but the automatic bids for section winners make it a bit tricky as to whether they get in or stay home.
The Warriors would play their home finale that would prove to be a statement game for the team and the program as a whole. Even though starting Pitcher Deion Twist allowed a run scored by Salome, San Pasqual’s offense wouldn’t take long to strike quickly and establish the tone for the rest of the game.
Chris McNeely, Paul Stauffer, Angel Curiel and Victor Alvarez would start a scoring chain in the 1st inning for the Warriors that Salome couldn’t overcome. San Pasqual goes on to win in dominant fashion; 23-2.
The Warriors have one more season game on the road to help or hurt their playoff cause.
