Car vandalism suspects arrested

YUMA, Ariz. – Yuma Police Department (YPD) officers arrested two women suspected of being responsible for vandalizing a car belonging to a city employee over the weekend.

Kassandra Lopez and Claudia Guerrero, both 19-years of age, are facing felony criminal damage and misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.

Officers say the teens were contacted and arrested after investigators received an anonymous tip.

Lopez and Guerrero were recorded by a security camera vandalizing the car in the area of 16th Place and 44th Street.

The two teens were booked into Yuma County Jail.

Officials say this is the third incident similar in nature since July of this year.
