Case dismissed for former Yuma Officer

The trial for a former Yuma Police officer has been dismissed and has been taken off the docket.

Ron Anton Ciancimino was charged for luring a minor for sexual conduct.

It happened back in September of 2013.

That’s when authorities were called to Yuma Regional Medical Center on reports that a 16-month old child had become a possible victim of child abuse.

The case, however, has been dismissed with out prejudice since the most important witness has reportedly disappeared.

Even though the case is dismissed, Ciancimino could be recharged if circumstances in the case change.
