YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College is helping students get the funds they need for college in 2016.
They will be hosting their 18th Annual College Goal Sunday, where students will get help with financial aid.
Students planning to attend colleges nationwide this fall will get free help in completing Free Application for Federal Student Aid applications.
AWC will have volunteers on-hand to help with information in both English and Spanish.
This event will be one of many statewide that are sponsored and organized by the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education (ACPE).
The purpose of College Goal Sunday is to assist students, especially minority and first generation college applicants completing the FAFSA form, which is their first step toward accessing postsecondary education.
Statewide there will be many volunteer financial aid professionals and high school counselors that will lend a hand to those completing FAFSA forms and seeking information on the financial aid process.
The ACPE is aiming to expand access and increase success in postsecondary education for Arizona.
