Falling rock at Glen Canyon Dam

Falling rock at Glen Canyon Dam

A 50-foot rock slab has begun to slide near the Glen Canyon Dam near the town of Page, Arizona. Workers in Arizona are trying to prevent a half-million-pound piece of rock from crashing into the Colorado river, but are hoping to bolt it to the canyon wall and prevent it from falling. The dam itself is not affected, but a nearby launch ramp for river rafts has been closed down until the rock is secured.
