Fortuna Pond gets facelift in time for summer

YUMA — Fortune Pond, the camping and fishing area about 12 miles northeast of Yuma has a new facelift.
Trees, shrubs, and bushes have been trimmed to make room for campers and those that want to fish.
All the extra wood will now be up for grabs for campers at Fortuna Pond.
Clean up efforts will cost an estimated $20,000, and with the help of two youth groups from Flagstaff and Tucson.
Other local recreational area’s — Squaw Lake and Senator Wash North Shore — will also be having some beautification projects just in time for the summer months.
