BRAWLEY, Calif. – Four years of hard work in the classroom and dedication to the physical rigors of both football and wrestling have paid big dividends for four Brawley Union High School student athletes on Tuesday.
Just days before high school graduation, four Wildcats were honored in a Letter of Intent signing ceremony in the school’s gym.
Star Wildcat football players Isaiah Martinez and Alex Campbell will each be getting full ride scholarships to continue playing the sport they love and have their respective educations covered. Martinez will be taking his talents to Puget Sound University in Tacoma, Washington. Campbell will also be going to the Pacific Northwest, as he signed with Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Two of Brawley’s female wrestlers also signed on at the collegiate level. Erica Waters will be taking her talents to Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Tori Smith will be going to Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, Oregon.
