EL CENTRO, Calif. – The front runner for the Democratic party in the 2016 presidential race Hillary Clinton is campaigning in El Centro on Thursday, June 2nd.
The former Secretary of State will be at the Barcelona Event Center in El Centro asking California voters for their support just days before the June 7th California Democratic Presidential Primary.
Clinton’s campaign says she will be discussing with voters how she’s the best candidate to raise incomes for California families, to lower health care costs and improve education. Her campaign says she will break down barriers that hold too many Americans back.
Clinton will also be heading to San Diego and other California cities campaigning on Thursday. She currently has an edge over her competitor Sen. Bernie Sanders. Clinton holds 2,312 delegates of the 2,383 delegates needed to clench the Democratic nomination for president. Sanders is behind with only 1,545. California is an essential win for Sanders to have a statistical chance of getting the nomination, the Golden State holds 548 delegates.
The El Centro event begins at 2:30 p.m. and is scheduled to end at 4:30 p.m. (all times PDT). The Barcelona Event Center’s website says you must RSVP for the event. You can visit their website at http://www.barcelonaeventcenters.com
