A historic convoy that started in Washington D.C. will now be making its way through Yuma.
This year marks the 95th anniversary of the original convoy from Washington D.C. to San Diego, now a reenactment of the cross country route is bringing national attention to the city of Yuma.
The convoy is scheduled to enter Yuma Thursday between 1-1:30 p.m.
It will exit of I-8 and Araby Road and then head west on 32nd Street through the Big Curve to 1st Street.
The Army convoy is being led by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, made up of army veterans and volunteers.
They will be camping out at the West Wetlands Park on Thursday night after a traditional tri-tip dinner prepared by the Boy Scouts.
The Cross Roads Mission will also be treating the visitors to a pancake breakfast Friday morning, before they head to their final destination of San Diego.
