Humidity has negative effect on health

Record-breaking heat has been scorching much of the western United States for days now and the severe humidity tagging along  poses a risk to our health.

Staying indoors and away from the heat is the first and easiest way  to prevent heat-related health problems like dehydration or heat strokes.

Experts say if you have to go outside, do so when it’s not as hot like in the morning or evenings – that will be your best bet to escape the highest levels of humidity.

Health officials say even those with chronic diseases like diabetes or heart problems can be worsened by the heat – leading to even more serious problems – even death.
