Jury finds Yuma murder suspect not guilty on all counts

YUMA, Ariz. – A jury has found a Yuma man charged with murder not guilty on all counts. The jury in the Robert Wade Moore III trial came upon the verdict Thursday.

Moore was found not guilty on one count of second-degree murder and not guilty on one count of manslaughter.

We spoke to Moore moments after he was released Thursday afternoon, but he had no comment.

Moore was originally charged with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting Jose Orejel over $500. The defense stated to the jury that Moore has no criminal history or evidence that he had financial problems. Leading to the question, why would he kill someone over $500. However, the State tried convincing the jury that Moore is not a reasonable man and planned the killing all along.

Moore will be released Thursday.

We will have more details on this story coming up in later editions of our newscasts, including our conversation with Moore’s attorney.
