Law enforcement looking for man who struck bridge guardrail

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department is looking for a man that hit a bridge guardrail in Yuma, Ariz. after fleeing from deputies with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.

YPD said the incident happened Saturday, May 30. Officers say the suspect, Michael John Kinale, was fleeing from ICSO deputies on the California side of the Fourth Ave. bridge. During the crash, Kinale crossed the Arizona border and struck the bridge guardrail causing significant damage.

Police say he then fled on foot and has not been located.

 

Kinale is described as a Native American male, 6-feet-tall and weighing 180 pounds.  He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is also wanted for a felony warrant out of Imperial County, California,  for Violation of Probation, and two misdemeanor warrants from Yuma Municipal Court for Violation of a Court Order.

Kinale has a history of flight from law enforcement, violence, and misconduct with weapons. Kinale is believed to be in possession of a firearm. If you see Kinale or know where he is please do not attempt to contact him.
