Man suspected of robbing Yuma Little Caesars appears in court

YUMA, Ariz. – Ernest John Martinez appeared before a judge on Thursday with three pending felony allegations, including armed robbery and one pending misdemeanor. His bond was set at $250,000. The prosecution says he is a threat to the community as he has past felony convictions for similar violent crimes in California.

Martinez is suspected of robbing the Little Caesar’s Pizza on 4th Ave and Catalina Dr. in Yuma on April 8th. Police say he was armed with a gun at the time of the robbery, which can be seen in security footage captured at the time of the robbery. He was arrested on Wednesday April 15th.

Martinez will be appearing in court again on Monday, which is when the court says he’ll learn if he will be formally charged.
