YUMA FOOTHILLS, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department and Fire Department responded to a crash involving an off-road vehicle on the 2900 block of South Araby Road.
Staff Sergeant Luke Love was traveling east bound in the off-road vehicle next to the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Love was then launched down the roadway, causing a collision with the roadway surface. Love was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other passengers were injured in the accident. Steven Paige, 35, and Kenneth Bourquein, 26, were flown to the Arizona burn center in Phoenix. Paige is suffering from life threatening injuries. Bourquein is in stable condition. Paige and Bourquein are also Marines.
