YUMA, Ariz. – Amberly’s Place is moving into a new home soon and they are asking for your help for their move.
Their new home is currently under construction. The organization out grew their current home five years ago and needs a bigger place according to Diane Umphress who runs the crisis response victim center. The construction project is going to cost about $2.2M and so far Amberly’s has only collected 75% of those funds.
“They can go to amberlysplace.com website and you can make a donation of any size, just put down “for the building”,” said Umphress,”what we are trying to do, is make sure when the victims come they feel they are cared about, they are believed, and they are going to get the services that they need.”
There will be a mixer at their soon-to-be new location (1310 S. 3rd Ave.) where you can get a sneak-peek of the new place. The mixer is Wednesday November 18th, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. There is a $5 fee at the door, that money will benefit the Chamber of Commerce.
