New high school app connects Yuma County parents with latest news

YUMA, Ariz. – Parents now have a one stop shop where they can keep up with the latest news from their student’s high schools. Yuma Union High School District unveiled a mobile app called Parent Link Monday. This connects parents with their high school of choice using the new technology. The app allows the school district to send mass messages and engage with parents in real-time, sending instant alerts, sports scores, schedules, staff contacts and maps.

YUHSD Superintendent Toni Badone said, “”From a parent perspective to have that information at your fingertips is really really helpful to support your student. You don’t want to be overwhelming your student with questions every night when they come home tired but to be able to get questions answered in a timely fashion and in a positive way and stay ahead of the game a little bit.”

The new service can be customized to any language, including Spanish. You can find the Parent Link in the App Store for I-Phone and android by searching Yuma Union HSD.
