New one-stop-shop resource for local cyclists

YUMA, Ariz. – There’s a new resource for cyclists in the area. A one-stop-shop to connect with groups, where riders can be in the know when exploring Yuma County. The Yuma Regional Bicycle Coalition created a website that features local events, cycling clubs, and even a map that lays out various courses, paths and bike lanes within the county.

The idea is to provide bikers with advice and guidance for the best possible riding experience. Jeff Brand with the coalition said, “The coalition is just under a year old and we’ve had a lot of success in making changes in both the county and the city and we’re looking forward to making Yuma much more bike friendly than it currently is.”

The idea is to provide bikers with advice and guidance for the best possible riding experience. “I’ll be using it for events upcoming. Any problems that arise in cycling in the city and also in the region,” said avid cyclist Micha Riemer.

Cyclists can use the webpage to address roadway concerns. The coalition can then bring up the issues to the county and help get them fixed. To check it out log onto www.yumarbc.org.
