October 8th is World Sight Day

World Sight Day is today.

It’s an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, focusing on global attention on blindness and vision impairment.

2015 is the third year of the WHO0 Global Action Plan and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) have partnered for the international day.

The day encourages eye care for everyone. Experts recommend getting an eye exam, especially if you haven’t had one in a while.
