PMHD offers free infant CPR classes to public

BRAWLEY, Calif. – Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District will start offering free infant CPR classes to the public. The course will be given once a month and begins next Wednesday August 24th.

Availability in August is already full and spots for September and October classes are filling fast.

We spoke to organizers who explained why it is important to learn CPR for both adults and infants.

“Adult CPR is performed with both hands locked in to the chest and infant CPR is performed with only two fingers. It is always scary to perform CPR on an infant but the first thing that has to come to mind is that yours trying to bring back a life whether it’s yours or someone else’s,” explained Beatriz Gonzales, CPR instructor.

The courses will be offered in both English and Spanish, for more information you can visit
