Rollover on Interstate 8 sends two people to the hospital

YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Department of Public Safety said two people were taken to the hospital after their vehicle rolled over. The incident happened Thursday at 3:21 p.m. The two people were heading westbound on Interstate 8 near Araby Road.

Quentin Mehr, AZ DPS public information officer, said that the driver of the vehicle lost control and the vehicle rolled over into the median area. The inside lanes of Interstate 8, both east and westbound were closed, but were reopened as of 4:20 p.m. Thursday.

The incident is under investigation.
