BRAWLEY, Calif. – The Brawley Juniors (14-U) All-Stars came into tonight riding quite a tide of momentum, after taking the Section 7 title and winning their first two games of the Sub-Division 3 South tournament.

The competition would be a bit tougher, as they squared off against the Section 6 champions; Encinitas.

Brawley would get off to a rough start, as a first inning fielding error by Augustine Torres would cost them two runs.

The game would stay close, but Brawley would lose by the slimmest of margins; 4-3.

Brawley now goes to the elimination semi-final, where they’ll have a re-match with East Anaheim later tonight at Ed Wiest Field in Brawley.

Opening pitch is at 7:30.
