SAN LUIS, Ariz. – A student was arrested after police say she took a handgun to San Luis High School.
Police officers say the 15-year-old was booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Detention Center Monday. She if facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, minor in possession a firearm on school grounds, minor in possession of firearm and misconduct involving weapons and endangerment.
Officials placed the school on lock down for about four hours.
The second student who was reported having a handgun on campus was released pending further investigation on the case.
