Suspicious activity at San Carlos hotel: one suspect booked, another on the loose

We now know the identify of the man who arrested for trespassing at the San Carlos hotel Thursday night. Police arrested 19-year-old Matthew Smith. This all had to do with an incident at the San Carlos hotel Thursday night.
Yuma police officers were called to investigate a suspicious incident. There were reports of two people on the fire escape, one of them was Smith.
When officers arrived Smith and another man fled on foot and tried to hide in the City of Yuma water treatment facility. Smith was caught and arrested. The second man was seen crossing the Colorado river into California and got away. Smith had an outstanding warrant and was booked for criminal trespassing.
