Touring cyclist gets bike stolen in El Centro

EL CENTRO, Calif. – The cyclist community is asking for your help finding a bicycle that was stolen from a touring cyclist over the weekend.

The bicycle belongs to woman who goes by the name of Tammy.

Sources say Tammy was checking into a hotel with her boyfriend when the bike was stolen.

The bike was taken with all of Tammy’s belongings including a GPS.

Police were able to track the GPS signal to a house near Brighton Avenue and Seventh Street but no one answered the door. That signal stopped working shortly after.

According to sources, police officers did not have enough evidence for a warrant to search the property.

If you have information on where the bicycle may be you are encouraged to contact the El Centro Police Department.
