Two men arrested in Yuma following attempted homicide incident in Phoenix

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department arrested two men in Yuma wanted for attempted homicide in Phoenix. The arrests happened Thursday afternoon near 16th Street and Magnolia Avenue.

YPD said Phoenix police alerted them to the two men. One of the men was arrested in a Yuma home. The other man was arrested on the corner of 16th Street and Magnolia Avenue. That man had a self-inflected gunshot wound.

Officers have not released the identities of the men.

Phoenix Police said on Saturday, June 13,  a woman was found with multiple gun shot wounds at an apartment complex at 15620 N 25th Avenue, in Phoenix. Her vehicle, where she had been shot, was found nearby. The victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries and is expected to survive.
