Two people taken to YRMC after car hits power pole
YUMA, Ariz. - Rural/Metro Fire said a car hit a power pole on Highway 95 and Atlantic Ave. Friday. Firefighters responded to the incident at about 1:30 p.m.

Rural/Metro received a call from the Yuma County Sheriff's Office. The report was that a car was traveling east on Highway 95 when it hit a power pole, causing the pole to break. 

Capt. Miranda with Rural/Metro said the driver and passenger escaped major injury by the way the car slid after colliding with the pole. 

The driver and a child were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center. The pole was sustained by the power lines. APS and YCSO were also on scene.
