Veterans fight for the right to use cannabis

YUMA, Ariz.- Hundreds of veterans protested this week in Capitol hill for the right to use medical marijuana. Right now veterans are all under federal law which any use of marijuana is illegal even if the veteran resides in a state where the use of medical cannabis is legal.

One of the local Yuma veterans in Washington is John Gleason and he says whats motivating him to make a stand. ” You don’t want a veteran anywhere to ever to commit suicide or a veteran anywhere to ever to be  arrested  for using a this some want to call a plant if it will safe their lives its that simple”. Gleason goes on to say that veterans should have the option of using non-chemical medicine alternatives.
