Walk to end Alzheimer’s Disease at Smucker Park

WALK PIC

YUMA, Ariz.-

Today many Yuma residents came together to walk around Ray Smucker Park to spread awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.

The Marine Corps Color Guard was there to present the colors at Smucker Park. The Alzheimer’s Association says that over half of Americans know someone that has been effected by the disease. Yuma mayor Douglas Nichollas was there to show his support.”Raising awareness on Alzheimer’s and finding the support finding the support for those that take care of their family members day in and day out.”

There was also fun family entertainment for those who finished walking. The Alzheimer’s Association is thankful for all the support Yuma residents and volunteers offered at the event today.
