Woman dies in road rage incident

TEMPE, Ariz.-A suspect is in custody after a woman was shot and killed in an apparent road-rage incident after a collision on Saturday afternoon, Tempe police said.

Tempe police officials say the the victim has died from her injuries and it’s considered a homicide.

Five others, including three children and pregnant woman, also were hospitalized after the crash.

It started when two vehicles collided near Broadway Road and McClintock Drive at about 3:40 p.m., police said.

Then, police said, 32-year-old Holly Davis got out of her car and fired several rounds into the other vehicle, striking the other driver.

Tempe police say the gunshot victim lost control of her car after being hit and struck a third vehicle carrying a family of five, including a pregnant woman and three children.

Crews transported the family and gunshot victim to the hospital. Initial reports said the family was hospitalized as a precautionary measure.
