YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department said a young man was shot in the arm early Sunday morning. It happened in the 400 Block of 17th Ave.
Police said the young man was inside of a vehicle at the time of the incident and was shot in the arm. The victim told police he followed the suspect in his vehicle and last saw him run northbound into 16th Avenue from Fourth Street.
The victim was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as wearing a black hat, possible black bandana over his face, black top, and black shorts. He had a medium build and was approximately 5’9”. There is no further suspect info at this time.
The case remains under investigation.
