YUMA, Ariz- Police say they’re actively searching for the person or persons responsible of multiple BB gun shootings on Monday night causing several thousands of dollars worth in vehicle damage.
PIO Lori Franklin with the Yuma Police Department said, “Windows of the vehicles were busted out. They left that area. We’re not sure if it was before or after that one. Another housing area was hit that’s on the corner of 32nd street and Avenue B. There were four more vehicles that were damaged in that housing area.”
We’re still unsure who the shooter may be. However, this person did cause more than $5,000 worth of damage to 21 vehicles.
Franklin adds, “Like the Livingston range area was all done under one case number but there were 17 cars. Are investigation section has 78 cases of the criminal damage between December 5th and yesterday’s date.
This took place at the Livingston Ranch and Rancho Caballo subdivisions by Avenue C and 32nd street and 38th street.
We’re told several residents in the area have reported their cars being shot at and police say the damage to all the vehicles seemed to be caused by a BB or pellet gun.
Franklin adds, “But there’s alot of monetary value that’s being damaged between windows, car windows and residents windows.”
YPD is actively searching for the suspect or suspects involved in this case.
The Yuma Police Department is giving a cash reward up to $1,000 for any tips that may lead to an arrest.
