YPD investigating two armed robberies and one burglary

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department is investigating two armed robberies and a burglary that happened within one hour Monday.

YPD said the first robbery happened Monday at 2:47 a.m. An unknown person gained entry into Sombrero Mexican Food restaurant at 2401 S. 4th Avenue.

The suspects caused an undisclosed amount of damage and left in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hooded jacket light colored pants.

The second robbery happened at 3:13 a.m., when an unknown white man entered the Super 8 Motel 1688 S. Riley Avenue, pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded money.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and left in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black hooded Nike jacket, dark shoes with white soles, light colored pants, light colored t-shirt and wearing a dark bandanna with a light color mixed in.

The third robbery happened at 3:36 a.m., at the Circle K located at 695 S. Fourth Ave.

Officers said a man pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded money.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’5”, unknown weight and has a mustache.  He was wearing a black hooded Nike jacket, dark shoes with white soles, gray pants, light colored t-shirt and wearing a dark bandanna with a light color mixed in.
