Three crimes in the wee hours of Monday morning lead Yuma Police Department searching for suspects with similar descriptions.
All within an hours timeframe Monday morning, a mexican restaurant, motel and convenience store in Yuma were criminalized.
Just before 3 a.m., the Sombrero Mexican Restaurant on 4th avenue was broken into by an unidentified person, who caused damage and left.
Then a little after 3 a.m., a white male pointed a gun at the clerk at the Super 8 Motel on south Riley avenue, and demanded money. The man took an unknown amount of money and left. He is described as wearing a black hooded Nike jacket, dark shoes with white soles, light colored pants, a light colored t-shirt and wearing a dark bandana with a light color mixed in.
Around 3:30 a.m., a white man entered the Circle k at 695 south 4th avenue and pointed a gun at the clerk demanding money. His description is similar to the Super 8 motel suspect, but also described as having a mustache and being 5’5″.
Yuma Police Department officials doesn’t want to assume the suspects involved with the armed robberies and burglary are related.
