Yuma child molestation suspect tries to flee to Mexico

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department said US Marshals arrested a man wanted on allegations of child molestation after he tried to flee to Mexico. YPD said on January 29, it was reported 47-year-old Isidro Castro had sexual intercourse with a young girl between 2005 and 2008.  YPD conducted an extensive investigation and probable cause was developed to arrest Castro.

The investigation revealed Castro had quit his job and cashed in his 401K. Because of this information it was suspected that Castro would attempt to flee to Mexico.  A BOLO, meaning be on the lookout, for Castro was sent to all known agencies to include all ports of entry and exit.

Tuesday Castro was stopped at the Andrade Port of Entry and detained.  During the interview Castro admitted to a lesser form of child molestation.  A warrant was filed and Castro was arrested by the US Marshals and booked for molestation of a child.
