Yuma County 4th of July events kick off Friday

We’re just a day away from all the fun, the Independence Day celebration begins Friday night at Paradise Casino. The biggest firework show in the area, the second largest in Arizona.

The show is getting bigger and bigger every year. They have plenty of entertainment and family friendly fun. Paradise Casino’s General Manager Charles Montague Sr. said, “Motorcycle stunt team, boost mobile freestyle event puts on a wonderful show each and every year.”
The doors open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. It’s a 25 minute show.

The city invites you to join in on the first ever All American Barbeque and Fireworks Spectacular.

Chuck Heeman, General Manager of Yuma Civic Center said, “We have six water slides, giant slip and slide and plenty of opportunities to cool off.” This is the first time they have had a big show in eight years.

Carrie Ring, City of Yuma Marketing Specialist said, “I can’t wait for my kids to get here and see the water features, watermelon and contests.”

It begins at 4 p.m. and it’s only $1 and free for kids, three and under. There are lots of family fun events around the Desert Southwest. In Somerton, they have a water balloon fight happening at 7 p.m. at Council Avenue Park. The San Luis’ celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. at Joe Orduno Park.
