Yuma County drug busts

YUMA, Ariz. – On January 12, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office seized over $380,000 worth of narcotics in two separate investigations. The first case occurred at 2am as deputies found an abandoned 2001 red Honda civic, inside the car they found 19 packages of meth weighing 25 pounds. Which deputies say has a street value of $200,000.

The second case occurred at 5pm that evening in Somerton. Deputies received a report from a resident that there was suspicious activity at a home, when they responded they discovered a semi-trailer on the property filled with 375 pounds of bulk marijuana with a street value of $185,000. Both cases are on going. The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to help them with cases like this, if you see any suspicious activity call 78-crime.
