YUMA, Ariz. – A Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) Deputy is recovering Monday morning after his cruiser was involved in a car crash.

It happened about 4:30 p.m. Sunday evening, near Avenue 3E and 32nd Street. Police say the deputy was responding to a car on fire when a white SUV hit him.

Three passengers from the SUV as well as the sheriff’s deputy were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center.

The deputy is in stable condition and is recovering. YCSO says the three passengers have been evaluated and are doing well.
