Yuma man arrested in Mexico for vandalism

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, Mex. – Mexican police arrested 43-year-old Henry Eugene for his involvement in vandalizing vehicles in a hotel parking lot.

Hotel staff called police after they realized two vehicles had been vandalized. Police say the incident was all caught on hotel video surveillance. The video shows Eugene throwing a brick or piece of cement through the window of one truck then pulling the mirror off the side of an SUV.

Hotel San Agustin owner, Luis Alfaro Lopez said Eugene and his friend booked rooms at the hotel for the evening. Hotel employees said Eugene was staggering through the parking lot and they thought he was possibly intoxicated.

Police arrested the man after watching the video surveillance where he is shown damaging the two cars.

Eugene is currently being held in Mexico pending possible vandalism charges.
