Yuma Rehabilitation Hospital expands facility to meet the community’s needs

Yuma Rehabilitation Hospital serves patients throughout Yuma and Imperial counties, who have physical limitations due to injury or illness and now they are expanding their facilities to meet the needs of the community.

Director of Marketing Operations Candice Pemberton says it will help, “Deserving patients that need to be here and receive those rehabilitation services.”

They will expand their 41-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital to 51 beds.

Pemberton said, “A dining room expansion, gym expansion, generator, 10 semi private rooms.”

The twelve thousand square foot expansion will allow them to treat more patients within the community, Southwestern Arizona, El Centro and Brawley, California.

Pemberton said, “We take all sorts of patients at different times depending on what their needs are.”

Yuma Rehabilitation hospital provides services to enhanced post acute rehabilitation to patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, other neurological disorders, brain injury, spinal cord injury and hip fracture rehabilitation

Pemberton said, “We are primarily inpatient, we do have an outpatient center as well.”
