Yuma to expect many visitors for Labor Day Weekend

YUMA, Ariz.-

The American Automobile Association says that over one million Arizona residents will travel out of town for their long Labor Day weekend. However Yuma is expected to get a decent amount of tourists because of dove hunting season.

“Hotels are nearly full,” says Linda Morgan the Executive Director for Yuma Visitors Bureau. She says that dove hunters love coming down to Yuma this time of year and it helps boost Yuma’s economy.  “It brings a lot of people in and a  lot of money” Morgan says.

For residents who are staying in town their are still plenty of activities to do in the Yuma area. You can check out www.visityuma.com for a list of events.
